Subject: Supervision over the implementation of the Law on Animal Protection in the City of Beli Manastir in Osijek-Baranja County – required
Greetings,
we are addressing you in order to report a violation of the regulations of the Animal Protection Act (NN 102/2017) by the City of Beli Manastir in Osijek-Baranja County.
The City of Beli Manastir has not in accordance with Article 49, paragraph 4, Article 51, paragraph 5, and Article 62 paragraphs 5 and 6 of the Animal Protection Act passed a Decision on the conditions and manner of keeping pets which is compliant with the new Animal Welfare Act, thereby also violating the above-reffered Law.
Consequently, we request that the veterinary inspection conduct an inspection in The City of Beli Manastir and with the envisaged sanctions ensures the implementation of legal acts.
We also request that you check whether the Municipality of Beli Manastir under Article 94 of the Law of Animal Protection ensured the implementation of microchipping control of the dogs, that is, whether they have visited households to ensure that all dogs in their area are marked with a microchip.
Please inform us concerning the performed supervision.
